Many of the orphans come from homes affected by domestic violence and have no living relatives. Poverty often leads to children being abandoned. Orphanages provide these children with daily meals, a bed, and education. However, they also need love, attention, and quality time from caring individuals.
As a volunteer, you can use your skills and interests to teach children various activities such as singing, dancing, cooking, and more. You can also spend time with them and show them that they are not alone.
Volunteers are required to work from Monday to Friday, either in the morning or afternoon. The minimum commitment period is one week.
There are volunteer openings in two different locations in Peru – Lima on the coast and Huancayo in the highlands. There are job opportunities in Lima (located on the coast of Peru) and Huancayo (located in the highlands of Peru).
