VOLUNTEERING AT MEDICAL CENTERS

Doctors, Dentists, Nurses, Vets & Medical students

Volunteer doctors 

Will work alongside Peruvian doctors in local medical centers in rural and urban areas, assisting in a wide range of procedures like delivering babies, treating epidemic diseases, creating and facilitating public health education and vaccination campaigns, and more.

Volunteer  Nurses  

Will have many opportunities to learn and practice with the doctor in the health center. In addition to assisting the doctor with patients, volunteer nurses should be prepared to develop and implement public health campaigns. This will involve spending time outside the health center and actively participating in the community.

 Medical students 

The medical students will be asked to develop and facilitate vaccination and public health campaigns. Health Education is crucial, and medical students will help facilitate educational workshops. This will entail spending time within the various communities and collaborating with the Peruvian Ministry of Health (MINSA).

Positions available at Perú : 

• Lima

• Huancayo 

• San Ramón 

Specific Qualifications:

* Full registration in the home country for professionals

* Students who are currently attending a medical school or have medical experience.

* Basic level of Spanish.

* 1 month minimum commitment.

Medical placements are in facilities with only Spanish-speaking medical workers.  Your ability to learn and help others will be dependent on your level of Spanish.
